It is almost confirmed. ‘Racha’ director Sampath Nandi, who has been keeping a low profile for a while, is back with a bang. According to latest buzz, he is set to direct Pawan Kalyan. Pawan, who is riding high with the stupendous success of ‘Gabbar Singh’, is on a signing spree. While his next film directed by Puri Jagannadh, ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’ is set to hit the theatres in a week, Pawan has two big ticket films in his hand – one is with ‘Jalsa’ director Trivikram Srinivas and the other is Sampath Nandi’s directorial venture.
The yet-to-be-titled Trivikram’s project is likely to go to floors in November. The filmmakers were earlier keen to rope in Samantha but that didn’t work out because of the busy schedule of the actress. The latest talk has it that ‘Ishq’ actress Nithya Menen is being considered for the lead role opposite Pawan. This film is due for a summer release.
Looks like Pawan has increased his pace and proving this, he has reportedly given his nod to team up with Sampath. When Hans Talkies contacted the ‘Racha’ director, he was busy in working for his upcoming film. A source close to the director said, “Currently the script work is going on and nothing can be revealed at this point of time.”
According to other sources in the unit, the movie is “a pakka commercial entertainer tailor-made to suit Pawan Kalyan’s image.”
This untitled movie will probably go to shoot in May 2013 after the completion of Trivikram Srinivas’s film. The official announcement on this new project is yet to be released.
