It has been a trend for Hansika Motwani, the reigning actress in Kollywood, to opt for films that were run-away hits in other languages. While she was seen with Vijay in ‘Velayudham’, a Telugu remake of Nagarjuna-starrer ‘Azad’, and ‘Settai’, a Hindi remake of Imran Khan-starrer ‘Delhi Belly’, now she has signed on the dotted line to feature in the Tamil remake of Telugu super hit ‘Ishq’ which released this February.
Actor-turned-politician Jayapradha who purchased the remake rights of ‘Ishq’ will be financing the project in Tamil with her nephew Siddharth reprising Nitin’s role from the original. Rajashekar will be wielding the megaphone for this project.
So it’s not difficult job for producers in rope in Hansika. A hit film in other languages would do it!
